Danny & Shayna's wedding is chock-full of amazing DIY inspiration. The talented wedding photographers and husband and wife, Kim & Bryan of Kimbry Studios captured the most lovely details and emotions of the day... you're going to love this one! Be sure to read the bride's story below...
From the Bride:
"I'm a micro-manager. In the months and weeks preceding the wedding I was hanging over every little detail. I had a ton of wedding projects that I thought I'd be worrying about on the wedding day. But, honestly... I forgot about everything on the big day. And it was great! The hard work paid off and everything fell into place. I was able to blissfully float around with my husband and just enjoy every aspect of our perfect day.
Inspirations:
I wanted the theme of the wedding to have a "vintage peacock" feel to it. First thing we did was book our photographers and design our announcements - it set the tone for everything. I used natural elements from the area for decor (grasses from nearby fields), decor from our home, feathers, etc. Almost everything was a DIY project, it helped give a "handmade" feel to the wedding. I opted for elegant white square dishes, glass goblets, fancy chairs with ribbons tied, formal table linens etc so that it still looked like a wedding.
Advice to future brides... don't sweat the small details. Thy end up working out anyway. Just remember that the biggest decision has already been taken care of- you found the one you want to spend the rest of your life with! If you can keep that in perspective, you'll be a lot happier letting the small stresses go."
I think this might be a temple wedding when I saw those cute sleeves!!! :) I LOVE the peacock on the papergoods (STUNNING!) and I ADORE the last shot. Beautiful flowers and the bride's expression is out of this world! Here's to your forever! Yay! :D
